Assistant Director of Nursing



Altus Infusion provides IV-therapy to patients with auto-immune diseases which include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Psoriatic Arthritis. Oversees the compliance and safety of all staff, and contributes to the success of workflow within the clinical operations setting. The Assistant Director of Nursing must see through the completion of small projects while maintaining a positive work environment.




  • Travel out-of-state 50% to 75% of the time based on company needs
  • Assist in physical set up of new infusion suites
  • Interview potential clinical employees
  • Coordinating training for new employees
  • Answering inquiries of clinical infusion staff
  • Ensuring clinical staff company compliance at all times
  • Resolve any HR/payroll/ personal issues for infusion staff
  • Deliver supplies/drug to sites as needed
  • Coordinate infusion staff schedules/time off/coverage and PRN schedules
  • Handle patient complaints
  • Order office supplies for staff
  • Assist Director of Nursing in other projects as assigned




  • Administering verbal warnings to staff as directed
  • Approve time off requests




Compliance and safety of all clinical staff




  • Licensed professional who specializes in infusion therapy and the administration of biologics and other necessary medications, intravenously.
  • IV experience is mandatory and ER-ICU experience is preferred.
  • Must have at least 5-7 years' experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Subject to license verification, criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Flexible hours Monday - Friday.
  • Must have Infusion Management Experience and must be an RN.




  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional
  • BLS and ACLS certified
  • Licensed to practice in one of these states, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas
  • Compliance with continuing and mandatory education
  • Practices nursing within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and accepts responsibility and accountability for own
  • Ability to respond quickly, physically and mentally when priorities and/or the patient's condition
  • Possesses appropriate communication skills to practice collaborative nursing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to communicate in a high pressure environment.
